N C MACHINERY PARTNERS WITH DAVID POWERS MOTORSPORTS 
AND HOT ROD FULLER FOR SEATTLE NHRA RACE
KENT, Wash. (July 15, 2008) – N C Machinery has partnered with David Powers Motorsports and seven-time NHRA Top Fuel winner Hot Rod Fuller for the 21st annual Schuck’s Auto Supply Nationals, July 18-20, at Pacific Raceways near Seattle.  Fuller’s Caterpillar® dragster will fly the N C Machinery dealer lockup logo during the Seattle NHRA race.
The relationship between David Powers Motorsports, Caterpillar Inc. and the Caterpillar dealers was designed as a pilot program to increase technician recruiting. Many Caterpillar dealers are experiencing a shortage of technicians. After successful events in several NHRA markets during the 2007 season, DPM and Caterpillar inked a multiyear agreement last August to participate in the NHRA dealer recruitment program. Headquartered in Tukwila, Wash., N C is the official Caterpillar machinery and power systems dealer in Western/Central Washington and Alaska. Operating under the names N C Machinery, N C The Cat Rental Store, and N C Power Systems, the company has branches in eight Washington (including a 20,000-square feet Monroe facility that opened in June 2008) and five Alaska cities offering Caterpillar and other preferred-brand equipment sales, parts, service and rentals.  
“We’ve seen a rash of Caterpillar dealers participating in our NHRA dealer recruitment program and we love to see that momentum building for the CAT Racing NHRA program,” Fuller said. “It’s awesome that N C Machinery will be on the Caterpillar dragster during the Seattle race. We’ve gone to the semifinals at Seattle the last two years, so now the goal is to go one round further and have a great showing for everyone at N C Machinery.”
N C Machinery will have a display on the popular Manufacturer’s Midway at Pacific Raceways. N C Machinery employees will be on-site to answer questions about Caterpillar products, services, and to speak to people interested in a career as a Caterpillar dealer technician. 
Fuller currently ranks fifth in the NHRA Top Fuel standings following 13 of 24 races on the 2008 NHRA racing schedule. The Las Vegas racer earned his seventh career Top Fuel win by powering the Caterpillar dragster to the title of the St. Louis race in early May. Fuller also has seven career Top Fuel poles, including the Norwalk, Ohio race on June 28. ESPN2 will feature 60 minutes of qualifying highlights from the Schuck’s Auto Supply Nationals at 8 p.m. (ET) on July 19, and three hours of final eliminations coverage of the Seattle NHRA race at 9 p.m. (ET) on July 20.
