PARTNERS WITH DAVID POWERS MOTORSPORTS AND HOT ROD FULLER FOR NHRA U.S. NATIONALS CLERMONT, Ind. (Aug. 26, 2008) – MacAllister Machinery Co. has partnered with David Powers Motorsports and seven-time NHRA Top Fuel winner Hot Rod Fuller for the 54th annual U.S. Nationals, Aug. 27-Sept. 1, at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis. Fuller’s Caterpillar® dragster will fly the MacAllister dealer lockup logo during the U.S. Nationals for the second straight year. The relationship between David Powers Motorsports, Caterpillar Inc. and the Caterpillar dealers was designed as a pilot program to increase technician recruiting. Many Caterpillar dealers are experiencing a shortage of technicians. After successful events in several NHRA markets during the 2007 season, DPM and Caterpillar inked a multiyear agreement last August to participate in the NHRA dealer recruitment program. MacAllister Machinery is Indiana’s Caterpillar dealer and leading heavy equipment supplier operating from 14 locations throughout Indiana. Associate sponsors partnering with MacAllister during the event include Wiese CAT lift truck and OmniSource Scrap Management. “This is a big race being the U.S. Nationals, but it’s also our last race before the Countdown (to the Championship) begins and we’re excited to have MacAllister back on the car,” Fuller said. “We’ve worked with MacAllister already a few times this year and it’s a great organization and definitely one of our favorite Caterpillar dealers. It would be awesome to win the U.S. Nationals for MacAllister.” MacAllister Machinery will have a display on the popular Manufacturer’s Midway at O’Reilly Raceway Park. MacAllister employees will be on-site to answer questions about Caterpillar products, services, and to speak to people interested in a career as a Caterpillar dealer technician. Wiese and OmniSource will also have representatives at the track. "MacAllister Machinery takes great pride in their people, equipment and relationships,” Doug Clark, Vice President of Operations for MacAllister said. “Hot Rod Fuller and David Powers Motorsports represent quality personnel and powerful equipment. There is nothing better than being associated with companies and people like DPM, Hot Rod Fuller, Caterpillar, OmniSource and Wiese.” Fuller currently ranks fifth in the NHRA Top Fuel standings following 17 of 24 races on the 2008 NHRA racing schedule. The Las Vegas racer earned his seventh career Top Fuel win by powering the Caterpillar dragster to the title of the St. Louis race in early May. Fuller also has seven career Top Fuel poles, including the Norwalk, Ohio race in late June. ESPN2 will feature 5.5 hours of qualifying highlights from the U.S. Nationals on Aug. 31, and five hours of final eliminations coverage of the prestigious Indianapolis NHRA race at on Sept. 1. Headquartered in Houston with race operations located in Brownsburg, Ind., David Powers Motorsports fields the two-car Top Fuel operation of drivers Rod Fuller and Antron Brown. DPM proudly represents racing partners Matco Tools, Caterpillar, Forward Sports Marketing, Valvoline, Toyota, Ringer’s Gloves, Go Fast Sports, Goodyear, FRAM, and Autolite. -30- www.macallister.com www.davidpowersmotorsports.com
