The Fuller Times The prerace release of four-time NHRA Top Fuel winner “Hot” Rod Fuller and the David Powers Motorsports Top Fuel team Contact: Ted Yerzyk, (317) 892-5040 o, or (760) 207-9767 c ted@davidpowersmotorsports.com 37th annual ProCare Rx SuperNationals June 21-24, 2007 Old Bridge Township Raceway Park Englishtown, N.J. “It’s one of the big races on the schedule. To win that race last year and to come back as the points leader and defending champion, that’s a good combination. I’m excited about that. We doubled-up at Phoenix the past two years, and that’s our plan at Englishtown. It will probably be a hot track, so it will be tricky for both the drivers and crew chiefs. I like those kind of races because it feels good when you can win a round for your team.” Fuller Englishtown Notebook At the last race in Joliet, Ill, Fuller qualified second for the fourth time this season with a career-best 4.464-second pass. He posted a runner-up finish—his 10th career final-round appearance—and regained the Top Fuel points lead. He leads Brandon Bernstein by 31 points. Fuller has lead the points chase following six of nine races this year. Last June, Fuller qualified fifth at the Englishtown race with a 4.570-second elapsed time. He went on to earn his third career NHRA Top Fuel victory ending Larry Dixon’s Father’s Day win streak at five. Fuller used a pass of 4.692 to best Dixon’s 4.825-second effort. Fuller has advanced to at least the semifinal round at six of nine races this season with one victory to his credit, Phoenix in February. Fuller, who has 13 career NHRA national event victories in the sportsmen categories (Super Comp, Super Gas and Stock), never competed as a sportsmen racer at Raceway Park.
