Antron Brown on Denver “We’re excited to get the Western Swing started on the new all-concrete track at Bandimere. My crew chief, Lee Beard, has a lot of history at that track. I’m looking forward to an eventful weekend. We want to get the (Western) Swing started on the right foot and go some rounds.” Lee Beard (crew chief) on Denver “It’s always fun to go back home and compete at the Denver race. I have a lot of family and friends in the area. We’ve had a lot of success there and Bandimere Speedway is a great facility. We did well there last year with both David Powers cars advancing to the final round and we’ll try and repeat that with Antron (Brown) and Hot Rod (Fuller). Antron Brown Denver NHRA Notebook Two weeks ago at Norwalk, Ohio, Brown qualified his Matco Tools dragster sixth with a run of 4.652 seconds at 291.51 mph.
